A Taste of Eternity

The intersection of two mighty rivers, the Mississippi and the Ohio, is the hauntingly beautiful setting in the tale of Rush, a vampire; a beautiful girl, turned vampire in 1901. It's the story of Silas, the dark, handsome vampire Rush creates, and it is the story of Bryce, the pretty young college student, Rush, inadvertently, saves. Rush, lives and preys, in a lively university town, hiding in plain sight for decades. She audits classes during the day and preys (with a wicked sense of humor) by night. It’s a sweet situation. Rush and Silas, the vampire Rush loves, are content. They watch out for one another. Until, one day, Rush chooses to watch out for someone else. Then, life... eternity, takes a turn. Oh my... A violent event, forces Rush to remember Christopher J., an ancient vampire, who was Rush’s mentor decades ago. Christopher J. once said, “A hidden life, while secure, is no life at all. * * * * What do you have to offer someone (a vampire) who saves your life? * * * * “A seamless, combination of Darkness and Light. A sublime Vampire Tale.” Silas Taggart. No one, past, present or future, will live what you will. It is yours. Every micro-second you're alive is jammed with exclusive, exponentially different, real time, experiences and observations; from your unique viewpoint. We're distilled, perhaps, by environment and genes, and parallels seem to exist... but, multiply the singular experience of one soul by the number of souls in the world.... You'll find typical, even similar, individuals are, Thank God, impossible. Christopher J. (The vampire, Rush’s mentor)
