Frankenstein: A graphic interpretation

In 1818, Mary Shelley crafted one of history’s greatest literary achievements. A beacon before her time, she laid the foundation for many of the conversations we’re having today — from advancing science beyond human limits to our desire for societal acceptance. Some even say that the publishing of Shelley’s work made her an original feminist. In celebration of the 200th anniversary of Frankenstein, Sacramento Public Library has released this visual reimagination of Shelley’s work. This edition features illustrations by artist Stephanie Taylor.
