A supernatural thriller, Drivers of the Plague follows three ordinary people destined for a union of devastating, and Biblical, proportions. Originally published in serial form in the early 2000s, Dw Dunphy's Drivers Of The Plague already begins to show his penchant for looking at the story behind the story, and this one is the story to end all of them. The Book of Revelations briefly discusses the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, symbols of four movements within the End of Days: famine, plague, pestilence, and death. This story posits that those "four horsemen" were once ordinary people attempting to live their lives, only to have these terrible powers thrust upon them. They are the bringers of prophecy but they do not want to be. Even worse is that as these disparate types meet up, their natural tendencies become stronger. Now there are three as a young girl is located who has this "carrier" ability. And that hasn't even factored in the evil force that has been very comfortable with things as they have been for centuries...very predictable and very profitable. The coming of the Four represents and end to his scheme, and he's not at all happy about it.
