When Helen discovers the house of her dreams, she promptly buys it, not caring that it has been vacant for years because it is rumored to be haunted. It's not actually haunted, but nor is it vacant. When she meets Patrick, who has lived there for decade, she learns he's very real, but not necessarily human. And he doesn't want her there. Helen refuses to leave and ignores his threats, until her horses become ill. When Patrick denies responsibility, Helen has to decide whether to believe him, and if she trust him enough to help protect her horses. But Patrick has problems of his own, and they find they have to work together to protect each other.
