Summoned to fight a banshee plaguing the small village of Burnam, Keener, a death-walker, heads south into the dark woods miles outside of the town. Struggling with the voices of his past, he must stay focused to avoid the snares of the demon-kin or have his body and soul devoured and left to rot in the cold, damp of the vast wilderness. Will he be successful in his hunt, or will he be next in the line of victims to be slain by the cruel hand of the banshee? *This is a short dark fantasy story set in the world of Hiraeth and is approximately 4k words.
