This is our journey into the paranormal world, which we entered one sultry, summer day in Alton, Illinois. Visiting the wondrous McPike Mansion, located in that decaying Mississippi River town in July, 2001, we saw, felt and heard things that we cannot explain. Since that first day we have had many experiences -- some frustrating, some funny, some serious, and some frightening -- but all exciting and filled with wonder. We had successes and failures. But whatever, or whoever, occupied the murky world that normally lies outside of our five senses, never ceased to amaze us with timely visits to our realm. Our travels since that first day took us to intentional sighting areas and to unintentional ones. We debunked many things we saw and heard; Yet there remain some things that happened and for which there is simply no explanation. Once we began having these experiences, there seemed to develop a “bridge” into the paranormal. During twelve years of investigations, mostly through trial and error, we believe we opened a door that allows spirits to travel through, if they so choose. That choice is theirs, not ours. Join us, a couple of graying baby boomers, for our ghost encounters.
