THE DIARY OF A GHOST

THE DIARY OF A GHOST

When a wealthy suburban couple finds themselves on the brink of divorce they soon find themselves fighting and bickering with one another over money, space, and the right to care for their child. Their personal hatred cuts a path that leads to betrayal, sexuality, immorality, and even demon possession. Ruby, their thirteen year old daughter, who is caught in the middle of her parent’s little marital war, must first go through hell (literally) before she can save the family she loves. After being sexually assaulted, the world in which Ruby once loved and cherished is quickly turned upside down and begins to fall apart. Her mom, who struggles to try to find solace, is soon overtaken by her pain, and her emotions subsequently forces her into a life of promiscuity. This ingeniously funny and sarcastically witted twelve year old is forced to draw upon her youthful intellect, but in order to do this she is forced to rely upon the spiritual wisdom of an old Indian lady. But instead of helping, the old lady winds up releasing an evil spirit that leaves Ruby trapped in the place of the undead. After Ruby saves the lives of an innocent family in danger of certain death, she awakes in her own world, only to discover that the deadly nightmare, which she has been trying so desperately to escape from, has only just begun.
