After more than a decade, the zombies have been defeated, but still they remain, a reminder of what reduced our city to rubble. They work the fringe as volunteers, with skin-tight bandages and masks to hide their true nature, but there are those who don't trust them. The cheap labour is well and good, but even if their savagery is suppressed with computer collars, can we trust them to remain tame organic robots?History says "no," and so it goes each day until a commoner is illegally transformed into a volunteer, fitted with a prototype technology, and turned back into his bloodthirsty ways with a new twist of heightened intelligence. If he survives, he will attain free will, which could mean the end of humanity.
