Detached (The Fleischer Series)

I’m Emily Ruth Fleischer and this book written by me is the only one of its kind. I can never let anyone know the horrible things that my father did or the secrets that my family had kept hidden for years. If anyone ever found out then that would mean they would also know what I did. I’m not even sure if I have fully come to terms with all of that yet myself. But I had to get it all out of my head and write it somewhere. So here it is: the worst of what happened in my life (hopefully) and the terrible secrets that I found out in the year 1976.

About the Author

Wendi Starusnak lives in Phoenix, New York with her husband, five of their eight children (the rest have grown and are living their own stories while still remaining strong characters in their parents' story), her mother-in-law, and their little dog that thinks he's a person. Wendi enjoys writing the darker stuff and hopes to be a voice against abuse. She began writing as a small child and whenever the question of what she wanted to be when she grew up was asked, she responded with, "a published author". She's hoping the fact that you're reading this now doesn't mean that she has actually grown up, only that she is busy living her dream.
