The Unbeloved

A dark and vicious tale of prophetic fiction, The Unbeloved is the story of a young faith-scholar unraveling as what he has learned as "the truth" crumbles in his hands. What remains is a sinister revelation that neither his religion nor his rationale can endure.When his friend and mentor slaughters dozens of Cleveland's innocent homeless in their church basement, Deacon Ignacio Hernandez sets out to clear Father Mattigan's name no matter what. What he stumbles upon, though, promises to darken his world more than any senseless act of violence ever could. His quest is guided only by a collection of ancient documents found in his mentor's office. Written in an unknown language, each translation reveals horrific prophecies that tear away at Ignacio's reality. Their only common thread is a lone sigil; a menacing lamb's head that stares at Ignacio through hollow, soulless eyes. They watch as the deacon's charges down his path in search of the truth and await for him to discover something far more sinister, coming apart at the seams all the while. The truth, though, must be known at all costs. He will fight with his faith. He will fight for his sanity.
