Does history always repeat itself? Well, some do claim so. For instance, Devdutta Pattanaik in his book, Jaya: An Illustrated Retelling of the Mahabharata, writes “Human memory is short, and history always repeats itself”. And this is quite true in terms of the context he writes in. History does repeat for the people of the Kuru clan. But can this happen with people like you and me? People who exist now and whose existence is not in doubt? Aanshi’s life changes the minute she steps into the centuries-old palace. She is told that she is destined to be here. It’s her story and everything happening has happened the same way before. A sage’s foretelling, a century’s old curse, some nightmares and some hallucinations. Can Aanshi join the dots and know what destiny has in store for her?
