The Vixen's Scream: Stories for the Worst in All of Us

Evil comes in many forms. It can hide in the people you think you know or the places you call home, as well as within you. This collection of nine short stories showcases the worst of humans (and nonhumans) with some dark humor for good measure. From demons and murderers to a bizarre experiment and a journey through Hell itself, The Vixen’s Scream drags us through the underbelly of our world. And not everyone makes it out alive.

About the Author

Fran Maglione has been crafting creative short stories since the age of seven, which was also the year that she won her first national writing award. The accolades continued throughout her academic career and into her professional life as a local news reporter. Thanks to an overactive and peculiar imagination, Fran has a habit of turning everything she experiences into a strange story in her mind. Putting it all down on paper just seemed like the logical next step. She has always had an interest in creepy stories and twist endings, but can neither confirm nor deny that this is a result of being born in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Fran currently lives in southwestern Connecticut with her other half on a hill next to a river. Her hobbies include hiking, jogging, reading, taking photos, and predicting the ending of movies at around 20 minutes in.
