Hayden is finally eighteen and ready to get the hell out of her small town in the middle of nowhere Ohio. Everything she has dreamed about for the last four years is finally coming true; she and her best friend are moving to New York in a matter of weeks for college, she has an amazing boyfriend who wants nothing more than to spend every last minute alone with her and the freedom of a big city has her giddy with excitement. But when her best friends decide one boring summer day to bust the local legend of the Monroe House, her plans of a swift escape from her small town quickly change. Not only does she come face to face with the shadowy figure who’s haunted her since she was twelve, but she also struggles with her warring emotions as her ex tries to win her back. The confidence Hayden had earlier in the day begins to fade with every minute the group stays in the house. The more Hayden gives into her feelings, the less she realizes she’s walking right into a trap. As members of her group begin to slowly disappear, and that shadowy figure shows Hayden just what the Monroe House really is, she begins to realize that she and her friends might not get through this night alive. Struggling to find the people she loves the most has her second guessing her every decision. Clouded judgement, fear and desperation has everything in her life turned upside down. The easy escape from her small town she had planned earlier that day becomes a battle for all their lives by the end of the night.
