About the Author

Brooke Burgess began his narrative career producing best-selling titles for software giant Electronic Arts Canada. After several years in the videogame trenches, he set off to create the critically acclaimed and award-winning online saga Broken Saints. Seen by millions of viewers worldwide, the groundbreaking 12- hour/24-part epic is considered by many to be the 'father' of an entirely new storytelling medium: motion comics. The series went on to secure the prestigious Audience Award at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival, along with Canadian New Media Producer of the Year for Burgess in 2005 and global DVD distribution with 20th Century FOX in 2006. Since then, Brooke has gone on to teach, advise, and consult on all things related to the bold new world of 'transmedia storytelling', while shepherding several original properties through interactive, graphic novel, and live- action development.  Currently, he is writing a new graphic novel, two feature scripts, and the first book in a children's fantasy series - all set to debut in 2013.
