Quarantine Fever is a 30,000 word supernatural occult horror story that deals with a spreading evil amidst the global pandemic Covid-19 Corona Virus. Commander Eve Halsey is performing a routine repair aboard The Odyssey space craft when she spots a strange red glow affecting the western Unites States and southern Canada. After alerting NASA, she is ordered to report back any news of the phenomenon spreading. Jack Staley is a psychiatrist working from home due to the nation-wide shutdown. While this suits him fine at first, Jack grows restless in the still hours of his down time, and witnesses a pulsing red glow emanating from his neighbor’s window. He thinks little of this at first, but as time goes on, he realizes the red glow is spreading from house to house. Curious, afraid, and with nothing else to do, Jack decides to investigate. A chameleon evil presents itself to Jack, his neighbors, Eve Halsey, her crew, and the world, as a global takeover of titanic proportion commences. Will Jack succumb to the promises of evil? Will Eve Halsey survive an attack in space? Will humanity redeem itself in the eyes of an outsider? Tyler Grant is a master at writing fast paced books, and takes readers on a comic tour of horrifying and fantastical events centered in today’s ever-changing climate of uncertainty in this StorytellerUK2020 contest entry.
