It has been three months since the events on the island in the middle of Lake Tenkiller in which Victoria Bolin, a fifteen-year-old Native American girl, and her family defeated a dark coven of witches that had been intent on freeing Lucifer from his prison. Now, with her new friend Bishop Westlock, a witch himself, she has spent the summer exploring her newfound powers while Bishop relearns magic. The two of them have also been tracking down and punishing those misusers of magic all summer and now prepare for the start of a new semester of high school. But a new storm is brewing within the seemingly idyllic town of Vian, Oklahoma, a town home to dark supernatural forces and unimaginable horror, which will bring her, Evelyn Saint Cyr, and Nicole Cola together. Each girl, with their own unique magic and skill, will discover they have been chosen by prophecy to become a trinity of power that could be the only force powerful enough of stopping an ancient evil that is rising and has already declared war on the supernatural races around the world. But they must first see if they can work together against supernatural threats close to home. As one dark coven of witches was laid to rest, another rises up to take its place with far crueler designs. A familiar enemy reappears imbued with the darkest of powers they will not hesitate to use. New friends, or possible foes, join the mix that will either aid the girls or hinder them while a link to the past of a hidden history of the world is further revealed, and a friend’s life hangs in the balance that will have a shocking outcome for one of the witches.
