Whispers on the Windowsill

The mansion of the famous late author George Lyndon Addison has been donated to the state of New York with the intention of turning it into a museum. In the months before the museum is to open, Sam Forrester, historian and biographer, is hired to spend a summer on the property, researching material for his upcoming Addison biography. In the wake of a divorce, he brings his daughter Addie with him to spend the summer in the mansion. It does not take long before mysterious happenings begin to suggest that both Addie and the mansion itself are being haunted by a mysterious child in antique clothing, who walks the shadowy halls by night and whispers at windowsills. What the lonely spirit wants and how Addie can help her is not at first clear, but before the story is over, the lost little ghost will either save the young girl’s life—or take it for her own.
