In the twenty-five stories that follow, you will come face to face with the magical, the terrifying, and all manner of sinister creatures and everyday people caught up in extraordinary circumstances. Some of these tales may make you smile, while others will alarm and hopefully cause you to stop reading, to check that all the doors and windows are firmly locked, especially if you are tucked up in bed late at night, and outside a storm is raging in the darkness. Perhaps the bogeyman, aliens from other worlds and werewolves really do exist, and the spirits of those that have passed and are not at rest can return to haunt us, should they choose to. Could it be that there is more truth in folklore than we believe possible in this modern age? I like to think so.
