Un-Oiled Gears: A Life and Death Situation

It's the summer before her senior year, when Carm is thrown into a situation that is by all means, life-altering. On the verge of freedom but still only 17, she must find a way to solve a crime that happened over 30 years ago, while putting up a front for her family and the neighborhood. However, someone has caught on, someone who may have more to hide than the average neighbor. With an unintentionally earned curfew from her Aunt and Uncle and a lot of unwanted attention, the walls are closing in. Will Carm solve the crime before summer's end?

About the Author

Born in Buffalo, NY, the city of good neighbors and harsh winters, Kristin has recently published her debut short story; Un-Oiled Gears; A Life and Death Situation. She received her Associates and Bachelors Degrees in Communications and Language, and is certified to Teach English to Speaker's of Other Languages, or, TESOL. Kristin has always enjoyed creative writing, and after having a dream one night, she was inspired to write the short story mentioned above. She looks forward to the next inspiration that will set her fingers ablaze to the keyboard.
