For years, medical researchers have worked to perfect the human body. People are living longer than ever. They have given the blind the ability to see, the deaf the ability to hear. Growing organs for transplants is no longer science fiction, but they go too far when they try to bring a person back from the dead. A chaotic plague of death and destruction consumes the earth. What is destroyed is lost, but what dies comes back to tear apart any life that remains. After civilization has decayed into a society of rot, the survivors must join together to fight for control of a world overrun with the dead.
