Yankee Boy is a tale of lost souls and dedication. Jacob Wilcott died of wounds received during the Battle of Marianna, Florida during the Civil War. A young man from Stow, Massachusetts, he died and was buried over a thousand miles from his home. His spirit lingers in the hopes that someone will help him get home. Sara Richardson is a teenager at the beginning of her high school years. Forced to move to a place she has no knowledge of, Ponce de Leon, Florida, she is angry and resentful. Soon she has obligated herself to do something that she has no idea how she is going to accomplish. Sara is soon considered "troubled" and is sent to see a psychiatrist. What follows is something no one expects, least of all, Sara, her closest friend, or her family.Yankee Boy takes on a life of its own when it embarks on a nationwide adventure.
