The first in the saga of Vilem Horvath. Vilem, a boy orphaned at a young age, learns that he is much more than he seems to be. This revelation leads Vilem on a journey of self-discovery and finding his place in the world. Vilem travels the world learning of the special gifts that he possesses. His voyage takes his life full circle back to his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Once back home his journey continues. Along his path to discovering who he wants to become, Vilem does battle against things most normal people have no clue exist. Vilem takes upon himself the tasks of caring for the citizens of his city as well as protecting them from dangers that they have no clue even exist outside the realm of movies and books. Making My Own Way is a story that is part self-discovery, part detective novel, and part fantasy. The main character, Vilem Horvath can be best described as a Harry Dresden meets Blade with a dash of House thrown in.
