The final book in the Cataclysm series, the World Below is filled with adventure, heros & battles. It's also filled with flawed characters and people that make mistakes. Flamonge, Solanis, Brawn and the others have returned to finish the story started in Valley of the Giants. Power shifts through this book like the tides, ebbing and flowing from one being to another, coming and going repeatedly. It leaves the characters constantly off balance and always caught in more turmoil. King Serval, Aerilyn, Aquasi and Terreset move with an army of elemental giants against a combined army of champions and their followers out on the salt flats. Meanwhile Ian makes a bid for greater power but pays more than he expected, Dinnado and Jemnalli help Serval then speed off to watch their plots unfold. When Solanis returns he makes an immediate impact and changes the power structure the elementals were accustomed to. This novel ties up the stories of the Cataclysm series but leaves wide open doors for future novels focusing on individual characters.
