A Girl And Her Demon and Other Short Stories

A little girl is befriended by the most unlikely of creatures,and as their relationship blossoms, she teaches it that sometimes, no such creature could ever be so cruel as a human. This collection includes other various short stories and poems,and will be updated with more material as the author finishes it.

About the Author

When I was about 6 years old, I would often find myself sitting awake at night staring at my toys and swearing they were moving about my room, brought to life by my ignorance and lack of time spent with them. I felt guilty playing with some toys and not with others, and so this drove me to believe that one night, my toys might try to plot and exact their revenge . I would also dream of the most horrific things, but after waking up, I would smile, because for some reason, fear made me feel good. When I got into high school, I began reading various authors, among them were the likes of King, Koontz, etc. These writers opened a whole new point of view with which to see the world, and inspired me to write as well. I began with short stories, poetry, and sometimes, even small plays in which my toys would play the lead roles. I let my imagination lead me anywhere and everywhere, let it drive my dreams and nightmares, because as I saw it, fear was the most invigorating of qualities to have in this life- not love, hate and all those other petty, uncontrollable emotions. Fear is the unknown, it is the thing which drives most people in life-the fear of being alone, the fear of the open closet at night, the fear of the dimly lit street one must walk down, the fear of no control over a situation and, of course, the fear of death. Its only when we confront these fears and horrors that we are truly free. In closing, I hope to relate to you with fear, be it via a story or something more real, like life.
