About the Author

Born in California, J.M. Zambrano graduated from California State University at Los Angeles with a BA in Business Administration. Prior to graduation, she was a single parent and did a brief stint as a deputy sheriff for Los Angeles County. Later she became a CPA in order to pay the bills, but she never lost sight of her childhood dream of fiction writing. After raising her children and moving to Colorado, she pursued that dream. Her novels and short stories run the spectrum of dark to light as she draws upon her own life experiences, as well as those of others, for the meat of her stories. Her goal, even in the darker tales, is to move from dark to light. Today, she lives and writes on a small farm in Northern Colorado.
