About the Author

Lise Haines is the author of several novels, including When We Disappear, Girl in the Arena, and In My Sister's Country. A Senior Writer in Residence at Emerson College, she is a past finalist for the PEN Nelson Algren Fiction Award and a former Briggs-Copeland Lecturer at Harvard University. She received her undergraduate degree from the Creative Writing program at Syracuse University and her MFA from the Bennington Writing Seminars.Eve Passeltiner is an audiobook narrator who trained in New York and Italy as an actress and has performed on stage in New York, New England, and the Southwest.
