Come Hell or High Water

Chiara De Santis was having a terrible 18th birthday. She keeps having weird dreams, she just found out her best friend has feelings for her, if she turns him down she might lose not just him, but her other best friend, his twin sister. Her father still hasn't called, it was like he didn't care at all. Not to mention the handsome stranger who tried to give her a ride to school this morning. Even after she refused he forced his business card on her. On one side is his phone number, on the other is a name.Salvador Teyo-FernandezShe tries to forget about him and to just have a nice birthday dinner with her family.Too bad she runs into him there. She overhears a dangerous conversation that raises serious questions about Salvador. The man is dangerous, she knows this for sure. Chiara tries to escape after he sees her. He corners her and gives her no answers to her questions. Until he offers her a deal, one date, and he'll answer as many as he can. When she tries to agree he stops her saying;"I need you to listen and understand this because I will only ever tell you this once. Are you listening? You can never, ever, ever make a deal with me you cannot keep. Do you understand?”Who is Salvador Teyo-Fernandez? Is he as dangerous as he seems? The goofy smile he lets slip once in a while seems to say otherwise. But his ancient eyes, the way he talks like her grandfather, and the occasional turn of phrase raise even more questions. Is Salvador even human?
