Joey spoke softly to me. “We will kill him for this, I promise, Karly. Lucas will suffer.” My long hair masked my face from him. He couldn’t see the red ringing my eyes. “Like hell, Lucas, will suffer. I will torture him until he breaks, and then, I will torture him even more before I kill him.
