Every summer a few lucky adventurers escape the city and their cell phones to go whitewater rafting on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River in central Idaho. It is known as the original River of No Return. Once rafters put in at Boundary Creek, they enjoy eight days and seven nights of wilderness camping and thrilling whitewater, with only a few small ranger stations along the way in case of emergencies. But this year something ancient and predatory has come home. Paradise becomes purgatory, as Bobby Aldrich and his twelve companion’s find themselves trapped within the 7000-foot canyon, fighting an unseen enemy who’s starving for their blood and picking them off one by one.
