Tales of vampires keep a predictable thread. Technology in the future sets back to mimic the past. Advanced equipment are then viewed as artifacts and useless. The world has emptied and mankind struggles to fill it again with little knowledge of the past. Ocean vessels are again the means of extended travel. The age of kings and warlords return with the threat of pirates on the bounding seas. A ghost ship with one keep and flags that change with the winds is suspected of piracy. The crew sleeps below in the day and their bounty is flesh and blood.
