Masks, social distancing, places closed, activities, programs, parts of our lives cancelled. I am tired of it, are you? And now it looks like Halloween could very well be more of the same. Halloween at home? Ugh! One more thing. Well, it is what it is and we have to deal with it. To help with this special Halloween--cough, cough--we are issuing this special edition of From the Dark, Covid 19 Edition. Reading scary stories by candlelight—what could be better? (Well, maybe, like, everything.) From the Dark, Book 1. The sun has set. Darkness settles in. There is stillness. Nothing stirs, at least not yet. All is quiet; all is peaceful. But then a howl. Things hatched in the dark recesses are coming! Fear treads heavily, fear of the unseen, of what creeps in the shadows, and of... Lights in the graveyard. The clown. Room 636. Echoes from ruins.
