Exiled for his part in kidnapping a queen and the murder of her servant, Jonderill travels north to find the magician who gave him his grey robe. However, the roads hold many dangers for a lone traveller and Jonderill, once again, finds himself the property of another man. Fedara, the goddess of magic, intervenes, but her concern is not what it seems, and her words are full of deceit.Things are changing in the six kingdoms.
