Leaving Slumberland

It’s the year 2005 and for October “Tobe” Miller, life is going pretty well. Due to her art being discovered on MySpace, Tobe is the newest and hottest thing in the art world. This has finally allowed her to follow her dream of leaving her hometown of Slumberland and moving to Los Angeles with her best friend, Isaac. Tobe gets an offer of $100,000 for her collection from a mystery art buyer with the condition that one new piece of art must be created after the purchase. With her head and heart ready to go, Tobe happily signs the contract and starts packing her boxes. But with it being Slumberland, nothing can ever go smoothly:Isaac decides at the last minute not to join her in L.A. because of his nasty new girlfriend, Tobe’s father has a heart attack, her boyfriend Brandon starts acting weird and suspicious, and her eventual transformation into a full-fledged vampire is happening sooner than later. Despite these hurdles, Tobe tries to remain positive and continues with her plan to get the Hell out of Slumberland. Until she meets the mystery art buyer. Now with her world turned upside down and her moving plans derailed, Tobe must reach deep inside herself if she ever plans on getting out of Slumberland…….dead or alive.
