Fresh from the Underworld, Siggy Aleskov is the target of poachers, a consortium of wizards, and pissed off sparkle-punk faerie assassin. Taken from her family as a child, abandoned into the foster care system, Siggy J. Aleksov has been haunted by memories of abandonment, abuse, and mental health issues. Living in a crappy trailer in Bearpaw, Michigan--alone, just the way she liked it--she was also haunted. Siggy sees ghosts and demons, has conversations with beings she knows aren't really there. She suffers from cluster headaches, coffee addiction, and terminal foul language, and has a hot temper. Having saved the life of a glitter-punk assassin sent to kill her, she traveled to Alaska in search of her roots, and ended up in the Underworld...Now her long dark hair has gone utterly white--which really pisses her off. She has no job, no home, and an extended family she never asked for--some of whom are in the Underworld, others of whom are bears. Before Siggy has time to sit down and think about the mess her life has become, she finds herself the target of poachers who traffic in magical animals (or at least their body parts), a consortium of mages who want to register and study her, and an angry sparkle-punk Faerie assassin.The world is determined to nail Siggy's hide to the wall...Literally.

About the Author

Deborah A. Wolf has some personal knowledge of life as a barbarian warrior, having grown up in a wildlife refuge in Alaska. She later worked as an Arabic linguist for the US Army. Before Wolf's formative years in Alaska, she spent some of her early years on a deserted island. She has a love of different cultures where she can use those settings to create giant monsters, as well as flora and fauna. Deborah currently lives in northern Michigan.
