Parallels: A Parable of the Dreamer

When Trace Ingram woke up that morning it was a recurring dream that took away his peace of mind, but a priest revealed his dream as a supernatural conflict and the battle between good and evil begins. On his way to the Monastery of the Ark to visit the priest who retains his position only because of his value as archaeologist to the Vatican, Trace befriends a hitchhiker. Together they go in search of an ancient golden scroll, and are confronted by the demons of hell.

About the Author

L. T. has since his earliest years as a country boy desired to be a writer To that end, he struggled and received his degree in creative writing from SFSU. While attending the university he met and married his wife and began a family. Upon receiving his degree he set aside his writing ambitions for a time to build a good life for his family. This life adventure brought them to Arkansas to carve a simple life out of the fast disappearing wilderness. Keeping his writing ambitions alive, he occasionally wrote a short story and lots of poetry (one of his passions). As his sons were reaching college age themselves, he began writing in earnest on his first novel The Southern Yankee. He is a long time student of American history. This fascination tempered strongly with his love for God and lifelong concern for the inner man, has always prompted his writing subject matter. L. T. always portrays the inner man in his characters, be it a in a poem for his own pleasure or a short story or novel. He draws upon his widely diverse life experiences to give realism to his characters. Raised in an orphanage in his younger years, sharecropping throughout the South, working the combines throughout the Midwest, cowboying in the western states, surviving the Korean War, earning his degree, building a highly successful business and moving to and taming raw country are just some of the life adventures he draws upon for character development
