A talking animal. Fun, right? Stop right there. Take a step back and think about this. You are Cattle. You are not some singing, dancing and fun-having little ball of fluff. You are a means to an end. You were born with claws and teeth, and if you were lucky enough, you were born with big claws and teeth. Still yet, unless you were born into nobility, you are Cattle. You are... MEAT. This is not a story for children. This is not a story for most adults. I ask of you, please, turn away. Ever wonder what it is like to be Cattle? I mean actual cattle. You live in a city or town like everyone else, but the very meat on your bones is the only currency your King and Noble Court cares for. How else do the beasts of your kingdom protect you from greater threats? Threats that wish to purge civilization from the world. How would you live in such a world? What would you have to do just to survive? In a world without a graveyard. Without a burial. Only the freshest, living MEAT is delivered routinely to the King and his kin. Wolves must eat and there are many mouths to feed. So, what do you do? I will tell you what you do. You will produce. You will procreate. You will endear and you will survive a bit longer by offering something other than you for your local Tax Collectors. Fail to offer something, and you yourself are the currency. Your life is forfeit. So breed well and give your King something worth a bite, or join the collection and march to The Spire to join with our guardians as sustenance. About this book: MEAT part one, is the first entry into an expansive series to come. This, and part two, will be the very "gentle" introductory to a world of feral claws and chomping teeth. A world of magic, steam punk, science fiction, fantasy and monsters. This will not be a story for children. The mature tone of this story as it progresses will take you down a deeper, darker path with every new release. If you are sensitive to violence and the terrible subject of rape or cannibalism in graphic detail, I beg of you not to go further than this first book. Again, this book is the gentle introduction.
