A Ghostly Memoir begins on that fateful day when the scales that covered Danielle's eyes are removed revealing the truth of Carine and Stella's life during the plantation days, and the secrets held deep in the Louisiana swamps and cotton fields. As Danielle begins writing Ms. Carine's memoirs she finds herself unable to stay away from the ancient plantation home, and the private cemetery occupied by its previous inhabitant's. In vision's she travels throughout Stella's childhood, and witnesses the horror and abuse inflicted upon Stella as a child by her mother.Ms. Adele enters Danielle's life, and with her guidance she begins to understand that she has a gift that Ms. Adele calls "the sight" With enlightenment comes the understanding of her visions. Ms. Adele warns Danielle to keep away from the spirit of Stella, and the extreme danger she is putting herself in. Danielle believes that Stella's soul is lost, and with her intervention she can lead Stella to peace. As time goes on Danielle realizes that Stella is demanding that Danielle fulfill a broken promise to her....a promise that was never hers to keep.A force stronger than anything Danielle could imagine draws her back to the ancient secluded plantation home in South Louisiana.
