A man discovers a 16th century Witchcraft Talisman with a metal detector. The talisman is inscribed with the names of Angels & Demons associated with the planet Mars. The Talisman is stolen and the discoverer is horrifically murdered, sacrificed to the Blindness and Poison of God, the fallen Angel and Chief Spirit of Mars, Samael. Detective Inspector Matt Foley is embroiled in a nightmare world of Gnostic Demonology, Enochian Angel Magick and ritual murder as he tries to find the killers and recover the Talisman. He is helped by Justin Gilbert, a Physics lecturer and expert on the Occult, a descendant of John Dee, Astrologer and Court Magician to Elizabeth the First.
