Guilt is a curious creature; it burrows under your skin and sleeps. It sleeps and begins to grow as it slowly awakens. And when it awakens, it awakens the silence. Scara Slayfield knows that that the silence is coming for her. She did some horrific things and let people she loved suffer for them. Scara knows that she deserves the silence but self preservation always seems to trump the guilt. But, the guilt and silence are beginning to win. In hopes of finding relief from the silence, Scara takes a planned trip to South Queensferry, Scotland. While there, she becomes a part of the Burryman's march. Popular legend has it the Burryman brings good fortune to the townsfolk that place burrs upon him. Another legend says the Burryman is a scapegoat. He can wipe your slate clean and you can begin anew. Will Scara pay the price of the Burryman or will she succumb to the silence?
