The Iron Circle: The Tale of Harry Thomas

Intending to write the definitive history of the West Ham United football firm, The Iron Circle, sixty year-old architect Gav Goldstein comes across his great-uncle Harry Thomas’ wartime diary. By the autumn of 1944, Harry was the only member of The Iron Circle not to be sent overseas under the war effort. Left in bombed out East London, his only semblance of social life comes in the form of the young handsome Jakob, who Harry suspects to be a German refugee. Piecing the information from the diary with other letters and paperwork the family have inherited, Gav discovers that it was not only fear, loneliness and isolation that tormented a man separated from his tribe, but something much worse; something seeking revenge.
