Dr. David Brooks is a front-runner in the cloning realm and a renowned Geneticist. He is a highly successful scientist who seems to stumble into one discovery after another. However, Dr. Brooks cannot find anyone close to him that shares his views on the cloning of humans. Therefore he works in secrecy on a cloning project and has hidden his most recent discovery, the ability to clone beyond infancy. It is a clone of himself that this successful and secret experiment has rendered. The goal he has in mind is to recreate, in this clone, his twin brother, who had been abducted over twenty years ago. Though the clone grows rapidly and is identical to David in appearance, a major question remains: Can anyone really clone a soul? Or is the clone an open vessel to an opportunistic spirit . . . a demon? The answer comes to Dr. Brooks soon, and at a cost . . . that of material destruction and the slaughter of innocent lives.
