1986. Undergraduate, Michael Savvary, travels to France from his native USA to complete his thesis on the actions of the resistance during the second world war. He meets Mathilde, an alluring enigmatic beauty, and through her, unearths a mystery concerning a Nazi massacre at the historic town of St. Germain, where time seems to be skewed, as 30 year old Mathilde claims she was present at the atrocity that destroyed the inhabitants and its community. During this fateful trip, he unearths the strange & disturbing story of his paternal grandfather's history, which is inextricably woven into the events of the region during that time.
