The Elucidation Commission: Pillar Dollars of Captain Condon (...

A clandestine organization, going back six Centuries, The Supernatural Elucidation Commission investigates "sundry egregious impostures of charms, potions, curses and conjurations." Their secret office is home to the "Archives of Contracts with Infernal Spirits," but their days are spent chasing manifestations of paranormal activity for the Supernatural Dismasking Courts. In the case of Captain "Ned" Condon's Pillar Dollars, the Commission hears of a series of accidental deaths by drowning where 18th Century coins are found at the scene. The victims appear to be descendants of a crew who mutinied onboard a ship that sank with its Captain locked inside his cabin. The Commission's task is to find out if it is the Captain who is taking revenge from beyond his watery grave. With thousands of stories to examine and consider over hundreds of years, history is rich with the erroneous novelties and imaginary conceptions of witches, devils, spirits and familiars. It's up to the SEC to prove or disprove the countless tales of supernatural phenomena and protect the innocent from the evil past.
