This book is both eerie and beautiful. The elegant writing mixed with the terror of what's happening makes this book difficult to put back on the shelf. The narrator is on the path to self-discovery when she meets a young man doing very much of the same thing. The result of their paths crossing is a hauntingly gorgeous tale. When asked about her book titled, “Monster Man”, she said, “Monster man is really a book about what it’s like finding out that the person that you are with is not exactly who you thought they were. It’s about true love, loss, finding out who you are, what makes other tick, it’s a book of discovery (both self and other).”
