This anthology of short tales is the third in this series. Each tale is self contained and set in various parts of the UK. It is I believe unique, in that the v word never appears. It tells the progressive story of a modern vampire hunter and builds up to a terrible climax.
From the Inside Flap
Stalker In Blackpool. I had come here as a child. The sun, sea and sand had been my idea of paradise. Of course my eyes goggled at the young ladies with their 60's mini-skirts, knickers visible in a rather indecent manner. As for their loose tops, well, less said the better. Today, it was raining quite heavily, despite the summertime. Dark clouds rolled overhead and thunder roared from west to east. Despite the weather, the fairground was packed. The Big Dipper rolled on, its passengers screaming in delight, or terror. I watched as the train of carriages negotiated another sharp bend before climbing yet another hill. My skin crawled. As I stood there, amazed, the proprietor arrived, greeting me warmly. "Fancy having a go?" "You must be joking!" I replied hastily. "Follow me then, my office is not that far." The portly gent, in his bright green attire led me to a spacious modern office with its bank of whirring computers. At the rear was a small cubby hole, in which we both sat down. "You mentioned a stalker,"I said, placing my trusty bag upon the floor. "Yes I did sir. Sexual stalkers we can deal with but bloodsuckers are a different kettle of fish." His candid description was appealing. Few of my clients were so forward.
