XOF, spelled this way, with witches’ runes, is pronounced zoff; coincidentally, if one were to do numerology, XOF would be the numbers 666. It was, or is, the most powerful and nefarious coven ever known to have been formed. A seemingly unrelated series of events allows the 1440ish spirit of perhaps the precursor to today’s pedophiliac serial killers (the warrior, mentor of Saint Joan of Arc–Giles de Rais) to return to our plane of existence. This to fulfill a pact and promise made so many centuries ago. Modern-day law enforcers are forced into believing the unbelievable. Things like this can’t exist, horrific crimes of this magnitude can’t take place, worship is for Sunday and an understanding, forgiving God. Lucifer is nothing more than a biblical monster story to scare children onto the path of light, or is it? Coffee is stale, cigarettes even staler, and the bodies, young and old, still continue to pile up across Texas and onward to California. Horror has become reality, reality given an ancient name, and those in pursuit no longer have to be convinced.
