School of the Wolven Way follows the journey of 15-year-old Julien Preux, the great-grandson of a man who claimed to be an alchemist, but is now believed to be a mere drug dealer and conman. A few months after Julien finishes the school year, he gets a letter in the mail, offering him a place at a Edenshire Academy, a prestigious academy in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. There's just one problem: he never applied to study there. He takes this as a sign that his great-grandfather is trying to contact him from beyond the grave. Wanting to exonerate him from wrongdoing, Julien convinces his parents to let him go away for the summer. When he arrives at Edenshire Academy, he learns the truth about his great-grandfather and how it will impact his ability to lead three other "graced" children in their attempt to prevent a cult from turning Earth into a watery wasteland in a perpetual state of night.
