Jonathan has always been very spiritual...in his own way. He was raised to believe in the sacraments, and even as a child his favorite was always Communion, the eating of the body of Christ. Since he was taught that we are all made in the image of God, it seemed only natural to him to take it one step further--to eat actual flesh from a living body. He started with small bits of his own...But now Jonathan's an adult. His religious belief may have faded, but his taste for flesh remains as strong as ever. He's long since moved on, from eating his own flesh to eating that of others. But when his wife discovers his grotesque secret, Jonathan is faced with a problem. And his solution leads him not only to new extremes, but also to a meeting with a mysterious stranger--a stranger who hold the key to an evil force far greater than any Jonathan ever dared imagine.
