Sayo's Diary (Sayoko)

Sayo woke from her New Year’s celebrations with a hangover and a resolution to keep a diary. It seems a simple enough task for a freshly graduated paralegal, but keeping promises to herself and following through have always been major challenges. Her year begins with the delivery of a strange box from her eccentric uncle. Then her friend Mel gets involved in the wrong kind of business. Then Sayo notices a disturbing pattern to the cases she is assigned.After a few incidents, she begins to question her job and her employers. Does the law firm she works for actually help the children it represents? The ancient question of, ‘What is my place in this world?’ raises its thorny head.When she finds the answer, it reveals to her a harrowing world of horror, depravity, and the darkness festering in the human soul.

About the Author

I am an IT professional by day, and work as a freelance writer and editor for a number of game studios by night.  Fiction has always been my passion, all the way back to my first published short story, "The Saga of the G'unks" when I was in second grade.  My first novel, written at the age of thirteen, was rejected at least thirty times before I shelved my novelist aspirations.  As a result, the bulk of my work for the last twenty years has been hidden as dialogue in role playing games, rules systems, source books, and similar products.Thank you for reading this, and I hope my stories bring you enlightenment, curiosity, and most importantly, enjoyment.
