Muriel runs away on a cold winter night and is attacked by a creature of darkness that manages to steal part of her soul. She is rescued by Aion, a mysterious man who seems to be able to manipulate reality itself at will. While something inside of her insists that she somehow knows him from her past, she struggles to remember ordinary day to day moments from the extent of her soul loss and dissociation. Aion is determined to help retrieve her soul and put her back together, before they run out of time in their battle against the Gods of Chaos and Darkness.
